French

Living in such a rural setting it can be easy to forget the importance of language learning however at Cape we endeavour to bring languages to life. Lessons are challenging and students are consistently pushed to achieve their full potential. The department seeks as many opportunities as possible to make language learning relevant and real to Cape students.

Throughout their time at Cape students of all ages sample a variety of languages thanks to visiting ex-students, foreign work experience students and one off cross curricular enrichment days. We also benefit from a close link with our partner school College St Gildas in Brittany, France. Currently there are no exchanges planned but we annually welcome French students to stay with hosts families from the Cape community.
